Welcome to the American GI Forum of San Jose Website

We are a community based membership enterprise dedicated to promoting education, advancing cultural understanding and quality of life for Mexican Americans.

For forty five years we have worked to improve our communities. We produce the annual Fiestas Patrias celebrations, Cinco de Mayo and 16 de Septiembre,  in downtown San Jose. We developed and operate alcohol and drug  prevention and recovery programs, and we assist more than 150 community organizations with their efforts.

Education is Our Freedom

For 25 years we have provided scholarships to promising Hispanic American and Hispanic high school grads. We've raised more than $1.2 million to help these youngsters get to college. See our Scholarship Foundation section for details.
